FKIP UMBY Holds PPL Briefing for 2025: Thorough Preparation for Prospective Teachers and Professionals
Yogyakarta — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Mercu Buana University Yogyakarta (UMBY) held a PPL 2 (Field Introduction Program) briefing for 2025 students. The event took place in a solemn and interactive manner at the Seminar Room of the UMBY Rectorate Building on Wednesday (July 23), featuring competent speakers in their respective fields.
The event was attended by faculty leadership, including the Dean, Vice Dean, Program Directors, and the UPPL Team. A total of 107 participants attended the orientation, comprising 96 regular students, 7 students from the MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) program, and 4 international PPL participants (SEA TEACHERS).
In his opening remarks, the Dean of FKIP emphasized that this orientation marks a crucial first step in preparing students to enter the field of education or the professional world. Students were urged to uphold the reputation of the program, the faculty, and Mercu Buana University Yogyakarta.
The Field Introduction Program will run for one and a half months, starting on July 28, 2025. The 14 parties involved in this PPL include: 9 senior high schools, 3 fitness partners, and 2 sports therapy centers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
